Europa - Patrick Yandall Live

On December 3, 2011 PBS's QTV, Delta College, University Center, Michigan, broadcast a one-hour special featuring Patrick Yandall's live performance at Bay City, Michigan's State Theatre which took place on February 19, 2011. The broadcast included live interview segments with host, Scott Seeburger and some live on-air solos by Patrick. Patrick's band features: on keyboards, Kevin Flourney, on drums, Tony Lee, on bass Nathan Brown and on guitar, Patrick Yandall. Patrick grew up in Bay City before attending college at Central Michigan University then moving to San Diego to begin his "Smooth Jazz" career. The concert was filmed and the audio recorded by Larry Hammond of Frankenmuth, Michigan who also lent Tony Lee his drum kit for the evening. The drum kit is a one-of-a-kind vintage Ludwig Vistalite kit Larry purchased new in 1977 and is featured on the historic drum website Vistalites.com: http://www.vistalites.com/collection/larryhammond.htm In the audience that evening was Larry's long-time friend Scott Seeburger and at the evening's close, Scott remarked to Larry that if the footage turned out "it would make for a great one-hour PBS Special" so after the initial editing turned out well, Larry Contacted both Scott Seeburger and Patrick Yandall and after much back-and-forth, resulted in the airing of the special.
