This video will demonstrate, in detail, how to evaluate functions when given a number to substitute in. I will thoroughly discuss the notation f(x) and the difference between evaluating when f(8) and f(x)=8, for example. We will discuss this notation given equations, writing coordinate pairs/points, graphs, tables, and real-life word problems. I will also show a TI-NsPIRE calculator trick (Nsolve - Buttons: Menu, 3, 1, put the full equation, coma, variable/letter, enter) to solve these questions quickly and efficiently.
Feel free to skip through the video and whatever part you need help with.
Equations: Begins at 0:48
Coordinate Pairs/Points: Begins at 10:40
