Everyday (is another way)

Everyday Sure, I think this one’s done…why not… Started it about 2 weeks ago, while cooking dinner and humming to myself. I was thinking about how many little things remind me of people throughout the day. While buttering bread to make grilled cheese I started singing the line “Everyday is another way, another thing to think about you”. Had to stop and run into my music lair and start writing. I got dinner finished eventually, but I’ll admit I was quite distracted. The chords to the verses started as that progression from Pachelbel's Canon, kinda as a placeholder until I could find something else. I ended up just switching out a couple major chords for minor chords and it seemed like it changed the feel a bunch…or at least enough, I think. This one may still change a bit…or at least I’ll get to know it enough that I won’t have to keep checking my songbook to remember which line comes next…
