May 2, 2026; our small ewe flock is on a paddock close to the barn. It's the first day after lambing in which the ewes' take their lamb grazing. We keep a small area so the flock stays together and lambs will be close by. The lambs will tire and go to sleep, and wake often to the dam being out of sight. Keeping them close in a half area paddock teaches both the dams and lambs. I apologize for the wind.
