Example of a Two Sample t-Test using Minitab 18

The 2-sample t-test is used to determine if the means of two normally distributed samples with equal variances are equal to one another. It can be a two-sided test where you want to reject the equality hypothesis if the mean is either too small or too large, or it can be a one-sided test where you are interested in differences in only one direction.
