Let's try an example where we aren't working with a gas but instead an egg. This is a great practical example, because you can actually use this to cook...an egg! Now, there is a lot more that goes on here when you are cooking an egg. The heat being transferred changes as the egg increases in temperature and would level off and go to zero when the egg is the same temperature as the water. That is outside of the realm of this course, but we can figure out how much energy goes into that energy change.
