Here we will try to understand the Examples of Minimization by Using Prime Implicant Chart 3. How to minimize by using the prime Implicant chart? Every term in the boolean function has to be taken as the column of the prime implicant chart. Every Prime implicant has to be taken as the row in the prime implicant chart. Remove the redundant prime implicants. (If Any) Star mark all the terms covered by the implicants. Find the single star mark column. Those are the essential prime implicants. Mark all the terms covered by the essential prime implicants. Now choose the prime implicants in such a way so that there should be less number of terms and less number of literals in the terms.
