70's Power Pop band EXCEL's first single on Polydor records, released in Nov 1979. Featuring Stephen Smith Stephen Gawtry Richard Taylor and Alan Walsh. The four teenagers from Yorkshire England for a brief period shone bright with a brand of catchy pop punk tunes.
An impressive live show and support slots for The Jam, The Pretenders and UB40 earned the band a small but loyal following.
There records are now prized collectors items, and with Japanese punk label 1977 records re-releasing much of there early material, interest in this group continues to grow.
