Google NotebookLM is one of the most interesting new AI tools I’ve seen for educators—and in this video, I walk through how it actually works, what it does well, and where you need to be careful. Built on Google’s Gemini model, NotebookLM lets you upload documents, curate sources, and then generate custom outputs like slide decks, infographics, quizzes, flashcards, mind maps, and even podcast-style audio overviews—all grounded in the sources you choose. In this demo, I show real classroom examples using Martin Luther King Jr. and Roman Roads projects, highlighting both strong use cases and common pitfalls. If you’ve ever wanted AI to: Build visuals directly from your class materials Turn student notes into study tools Generate age-appropriate quizzes, timelines, or flashcards Create classroom-ready infographics with minimal prompting …this tool is worth a look. I also dig into why source selection matters, how giving the model too much information can derail results, and how prompting inside NotebookLM can dramatically improve outputs—especially for elementary and middle school use. This video is especially relevant for: Teachers and instructional coaches EdTech and curriculum leaders Anyone exploring practical, classroom-ready AI tools NotebookLM is free with a Google Education account (with some daily limits), and while it’s still new, it’s already one of the strongest AI tools I’ve seen for educator workflows. #NotebookLM #GoogleAI #aiineducation #EdTech #TeachersUsingAI #InstructionalTechnology #AIForTeachers #LessonPlanning #EducationalTechnology #ClassroomAI
