It is with great sadness to have to share the news that Bob Thorne passed away recently on Monday the 26th of August 2024.
Bob had been a significant part of the Film and Television industry for over 40 years. His influence can be seen all over the world of science fiction.
Rest in peace Bob, and we are sending our love to his family and team at Bob's Bits.

Bob's Bits is a Prop-Hire company which specializes in science fiction and technology. The company was founded by Bob Thorne, a special effects and props expert who has worked in the industry since the early 80's. In that time, he's worked with the Jim Henson Creature Shop and been involved in more Star Wars films than George Lucas!
