🌍 Exploring Stuttgart Through Maps & Stories — A GeoNode Project 🗺️📖

Over the past few weeks, my friend Samida and I worked on a passion project that blended our love for geospatial technology and urban exploration. Together, we created an interactive GeoStory using GeoNode to document our visits across all 24 districts of Stuttgart 🇩🇪. ✨ What we did: Installed and configured GeoNode 4.3 locally with Docker & WSL2 Created custom map layers showing routes and favorite places Added photos, descriptions, and embedded web pages to tell our story Used features like Map Carousel for an engaging visual experience 📍 Why Stuttgart? It’s a city that offers something at every corner—nature, culture, architecture, and community. We wanted to show that from our perspective, one district at a time. 🛠️ This project helped us dive deeper into spatial storytelling and understand how open-source GIS tools like GeoNode can turn data into meaningful narratives.
