I spent the last two weeks using the Regolith Desktop on ubuntu. I've had a great time, it became a quick replacement for Pop_Shell! while still offering many of the deeper customizations I came to expect from i3. It's easy to install, great to use, and offers lots of depth for customization, let's checkout the Regolith desktop!
