This video introduces the ideas of exponential growth and decay and how they differ from each other.
The general idea is that if you have some exponential function, f(x) = b^x, if the base b is a fraction between 0 and 1, the function will exhibit exponential decay, meaning that as x increases, the function value will decrease. If the base b is greater than 1, the function will display exponential growth and the function values will increase as the x value increases.
