In this new video series we talk with GraalVM community members about how they use GraalVM, their journey, and what they learned along the way. Our first guest is Rick Ossendrijver from Picnic, an online supermarket in the Netherlands.
At Picnic they used GraalVM to develop a rule engine platform which enables business analysts and other stakeholders to define rules in JavaScript or Python. The rules are then consumed and acted upon by a Java backend system, resulting in about 38M evaluations and about 2M actions taken every day.
