Extract Systems Testimonial: Exact Sciences

Exact Sciences sought a flexible solution to help automate the order entry process accurately and efficiently. The solution would need to be able to interpret documents and not always expect information within a particular location on that document like other OCR solutions. The system would also require integration into Exact Sciences’ current system in order to provide the document classification continuously in an easily accessible and secure location. ACTION Exact Sciences met to define post-implementation goals and desired workflow. Extract outlined the various document types, preferred fields for data capture, and obtained sample documents to write customized rules to begin the rule-writing process. The testing process began with a test-solution install and configuration workflow to perform comprehensive testing of both classification and order rules in order to collect feedback data. Rules were then revised, tested and feedback was collected in order to capture all fields necessary and master the document classification workflow. As soon as Extract and Exact were satisfied with the workflow, the solution was moved into production. The full project was completed in a very tight timeline of 90 days. RESULTS Overall, Exact Sciences has experienced the following results from its partnership with Extract: •The time to enter documents has decreased by more than 30% •Extract’s solution has helped reduce the order entry error rate by 80% •The order volume has nearly doubled without an increase in staff
