Eyeglasses Comparison and Information

Hello all, this is a video to compare various sunglasses and regular eyeglasses. I do not have any affiliation with any of the companies I talk about. I have bought all the glasses on my own and am sharing information that I learned since I recently started buying prescription glasses. I talk about where I bought them from, material types including plastic and titanium, lens materials of both polycarbonate and glass, transition / photo chromatic / clear / tinted / polarized / lenses, nose pad materials of metal and rubberized plastic, cases, and anti slip nose pads. For cleaning only use the included cloth and / or a drop of dish soap and your fingers under running water. While the virtual try on programs companies have are helpful, they aren't always how they look in person. Many glasses have the sizes on one of the temples and buying a similar size that fits you and you like can make it easier to cross shop glasses. Many eyeglasses look better if your pupils are centered in the lens. For sunglasses that is less important, as well as certain styles. Most were bought between 2023-2025. My rough costs are 2-4 dollars for those non slip nose pads, most cases were included except the wood case which was about 20 bucks, the non prescription polarized glasses were about 15 dollars, the AliExpress prescription glasses were about $30 - 50, EyeBuyDirect was about 80 with 2 day shipping, and Zenni was about 80 as well. The American Optical sunglasses were about 100 when I was gifted them around 2017, but go for around 250 in 2026. Warby Parker was about 250 for polarized sunglasses and anti reflective coatings. I guess my summary of them would be: gradient is nice for operating heavy equipment including airplanes, transition / photo chromatic is nice in the evening if you only want one pair and only need dimming outside, and for normal use I'd just choose two: one polarizes sunglass and one regular clear eyeglass.
