Factoring Polynomials [Part 2] - Using The Rational Zero Theorem
The rational zero theorem is great for factoring higher degree polynomials 😁, like cubic polynomials, quartic polynomials and higher 👍. The rational zero theorem, also known as the rational root theorem or rational roots theorem, is great for factoring polynomials when the leading coefficient is NOT equal to 1 ❤️. In algebra, we can apply the integral zero theorem and the rational zero theorem to find possible zeros of a polynomial function, which we can test using the factor theorem ✔️ (a special case of the remainder theorem). Thereafter, we need to be able to use synthetic division or polynomial long division ➗ in order to find any remaining factors. These are important tools, especially if you are in class 10 icse, that can be used in all kinds of problem solving 🚩 requiring factorization of polynomials. #SineOfOurTime Here is what you can expect in this video 📺: 00:00 Introduction 00:21 Reviewing The Integral Zero Theorem 00:41 Introducing The Rational Zero Theorem 01:08 Exploring The Rational Zero Theorem 01:33 Using The Rational Zero Theorem To Get A List Of Values To Test 03:16 Applying The Factor Theorem To Find The First Factor 04:13 Finding The Remaining Factors: Strategy 1: Synthetic Division 05:05 Finding The Remaining Factors: Strategy 2: Continue Testing For Possible Factors 05:38 Reasons Against Using Strategy 2 06:33 Conclusion 🧑🤝🧑 LET'S STAY CONNECTED 🅿️Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/sineofourtime 🍏Teachers Pay Teachers: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Sine-Of-Our-Time 🌐Website: https://www.sineofourtime.com/ 📸Instagram: @SineOfOurTime https://www.instagram.com/SineOfOurTime/ 👍Facebook: @SineOfOurTime https://www.facebook.com/SineOfOurTime/ ✨Twitter: @sineofourtime https://twitter.com/sineofourtime/ TRY OUT THE CORRESPONDING ⭐️KAHOOT TO THIS VIDEO: https://create.kahoot.it/share/factoring-polynomials-the-rational-zero-theorem/b7f7f9d4-3758-4829-8475-18fe0279962b FOR MY AFRICAN VIEWERS: 🌍 If you are looking for an affordable platform that is filled with fun, interactive online learning materials with low data usage, then look no further than Ask Archie.
