Once again recorded and produced entirely by the band, with Cyrille Gachet and Alan Douches returning for mixing and mastering, Purulences captures FANGE at the height of their creative synergy. Dense and monolithic, this record stands as the french's quartet most laser-focused work to date, where the punishing instrumentation and gut-punching industrial beats collide with a venomous vocal approach, swaying from spoken-sung, declamatory verses to borderline-anthemic shouted choruses. Perfecting their unique balance of savagery and poignancy, Purulences showcases a band that masters their game of attraction and repulsion like no other.
