Fantasy Grounds Module Creation Tutorial
Lady Shel offers an on-the-fly Module Creation tutorial. Train wreck? Naah, it's not that bad, but with only 2 maps created in advance, it was definitely not overly prepared. Call it a fly-by-the-seat-of-your pants approach. :) There are a lot of other Module Creation tutorials out there, but they come at it from a converting a pdf to a module approach. Lady Shel's tutorial is how to take your own ideas for an adventure that you are making to run yourself, and putting into a .mod format. She shows you the various parts that make up a module, and how to create groups for custom content. The following links are mentioned in the video. First, and foremost, to create a .mod you will need to have either a licensed copy of Fantasy Grounds (either Standard or Ultimate) or a Subscription (Standard or Ultimate) so that you can save your work. You can find information about these products at: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/#CoreLicenses This module is created using the DnD5e ruleset. Other rulesets may be a bit different in some things but for the most part, the build order will be the same. While Lady Shel did not use any custom tokens, she suggested that if you would like to do so, to use some royalty-free images, or to commission someone to do your artwork for your tokens. You can find royalty-free images at: https://www.pixabay.com and you can create custom tokens at: http://rolladvantage.com/tokenstamp/ If you haven't joined the Fantasy Grounds College Discord, you can do so by going to: https://discord.gg/Ew6nYyw And we have a good amount of Fantasy Grounds information on our website at: https://www.fantasygroundscollege.net
