Fara E
In this song “Fara E,” we honor a significant plant 🏝️ in most Polynesian island groups, the tumu fara. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we pay tribute to our deep roots that have kept us grounded throughout these years. We are immensely grateful for our Ra’atira and Kumu who have nurtured our strong roots, allowing us to bear beautiful and vibrant fruit and resilient leaves(dancers), fostering new passion and love. 💚💚💚 Brown and tough on the outside and brightly colored on the inside, the fruit of the fara are reminiscent of the various personalities of my dancers throughout the years. Each dancer, as a raufara/pae’ore/lau has definitely weaved themselves into my heart and I could not withstand the tough years without their endless strength and dedication. I continue on this journey as Ra’atira to honor the ancestors, the present ma’ohi/kama’aina, and the future sprouts🌱 to carry on this culture. Manuia to many more years! 🥂 Watch the full video on our YouTube, like and follow us! #farae #fara #lauhala #lauhalalove #10thanniversary #storiesofthepacific #polynesiandance #oritahiti #hinanotiaré #woowoowoo #aaah #honoryourancestors #strongroots
