The Abberton Scheme is the largest water infrastructure project in the UK in 2011/12, the scheme delivered by Northumbrian Water Limited in conjunction with the Environment Agency incorporating supplementing the transfer of water from East Cambridgeshire to Essex by 120 Mega Litres per day.
