Paint prep sucks! I began this project thinking I could scuff the paint, wet sand, and apply vinyl. I have learned that I am clearly mistaken and that the amount work needed to correct failing paint is enormous. With the paint flaking and showing signs of deep rock chips, I felt it was best to move on to a different strategy, chemical stripping. I had some left over citristripper and a simple application was the confirmation that I needed to proceed. I am moving around the car, stripping the paint one panel at a time and then laying paint, but wait to hear more about the paint challenges in the next video.
