Do you like the look of batik? I'll show you how to make a really easy and inexpensive version of batik...using just flour, water and paint. And a plain piece of fabric too ofcourse.
MATERIALS
One piece of 100% cotton fabric
Waxed paper large enough to sit the fabric on
2 cups of plain flour
2 cups of water
Bowl for flour/water mixture
Large spoon or spatula for spreading flour mix
Acrylic paints of your choice...thinned down a little with water
Paint brush
1 tablespoon of salt dissolved in boiling water
Bucket or sink of warm water for washing fabric
