Arnold, the governator, was born in Austria in 1947. After coming to America, he became a professional body-builder, an actor, a businessman, and then ran for the office of governor of the state of California. He won awards as a body builder, and made some great action films, in spite of a somewhat wooden approach to acting and language ("Quick, crab de chewels"). But his most startling success was in running for office. He won , to the amazement and amusement of all. Did he do a great job? Hard to say. California is in the midst of a calamitous economic crisis. Is it partially his fault? Hard to say. I've been away from California too long to make even a partially educated guess.
