FB-MultiPier tutorial on analysis convergence

This tutorial provides an overview of how to better ensure that analysis convergence is reached when using the design-oriented bridge finite element analysis software, FB-MultiPier. Viewers are guided through a brief tour of how to open a set of illustrative models. Further, a systematic approach is demonstrated that allows for checks of non-convergence issues to be isolated (one at a time) with respect to soil resistance, pile resistance, and overall pier resistance. Use of the approach presented here may prove useful when modifying a pier configuration so that equilibrium can be reached when performing nonlinear analysis.
