Safety Disclaimer
Whether you’re a new carver or an experienced one, you’ll want to start with a well sharpened and finely honed blade. A dull tool can be a dangerous tool.
And here are a few more safety tips that I recommend:
1. Avoid cutting towards yourself whenever possible.
2. Use cut resistant gloves and/or a thumb guard
3. Whenever possible try to carve in a location with as few distractions as possible.
4. Work slowly and avoid bearing down on the blade when cutting.
5. HAVE FUN!
