Ferrili’s Virtual Roundtable: Analytics in Higher Education
Watch Ferrilli’s Anthology Practice Director Dan Mongeluzi lead a roundtable discussion on Analytics in HigherEducation. Data is collected and used for our benefit (or potentially against us) on a daily basis. At the grocery store and pharmacy, member ID’s track our purchases and reward us with coupons. Credit card companies track our spending and presumed location to warn us against fraudulent activity. And in sports, data is making more decisions than some coaches. Whether you see the benefits or the concerns of #data collection, there is no debating its ubiquity and power. Schools have a significant amount of data in place today across the campus; from their CRM, to their SIS, to their LMS, to their ERP, to IDMS, and so on. This list of acronyms is a gold mine of data for schools to drive student and institutional success. But few institutions are taking advantage. In this session, we talk about how far we have come with analytics in education, discuss useful business cases, and (hopefully) motive folks to take action!
