Final Fantasy 14 controller targeting can seem daunting at first, but with some practice it will feel natural in no time. This guide will walk you through learning both the basics and advanced techniques. These apply to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
*Useful macros:*
/focustarget «t» - set your current target as focus
/target «f» - target your focus target
/target «tt» - target your target's target
/assist «t» - target your target's target (same as above)
*Addendum:*
Manually drawing/sheathing your weapon with the bumper buttons works more reliably by first _holding_ LB/L1 and then _tapping_ RB/R1.
