FigureTwo - Product Demo
In this demo, FigureTwo founder Jeff Lang walked through the platform, showcasing the latest features and sharing what’s coming next. The session demonstrated how FigureTwo transforms static scientific figures into interactive, accessible and data-connected research outputs that become the most compelling part of an article. We showed how researchers can create beautiful, transparent and FAIR-compliant figures with no coding required. Viewers saw how readers can explore underlying data directly within a figure, improving understanding, reproducibility and trust in the scholarly record. We also introduced FigureTwo Professional, including new publishing and preservation capabilities designed to make figures first-class scholarly outputs. Through integrations with DataCite and Portico, figures can now be published with DOIs, preserved long-term and connected permanently to the scholarly record. This makes figures and their underlying data citable, discoverable and reusable over time. 0:00 - Intro 1:50 - Uploading Data 3:45 - Creating and formatting a chart 8:35 - Preview and private sharing 10:46 - Adding Alt Text 12:01 - Export figure ready for journal publication 13:22 - Create a private link 14:10 - Review and publish 20:16 - View the published figure 22:22 - DOI versioning 23:15 - Archiving with Portico
