At the University of Oregon, first-year students in the Hip Hop & the Politics of Race First-Year Interest Group (FIG) and Remixing Media, ©ritiquing ©ulture FIG come together through a shared love of hip hop culture, music, and art. Each year, the groups hosts a Hip Hop jam and art show. The jam is a space for students to connect, collaborate, express themselves creatively, and find community.
