This video is an edited version of the google meet recording of an online class. The video shows that how a smartphone app (phyphox) could be used to record the velocity of a pendulum (with the smartphone being the bob). From the period of the oscillating velocity, the acceleration due to gravity (g) could be determined. This is definitely not a very precise way of measuring 'g', but is rather a demonstration of how the smartphone sensors could be used to design simple experiments at home.
