Finding limit of function by evaluating | Calculus
In this calculus math example, we show the steps of how to solve the limit of a rational function as our variable is approaching a number. Although it initially looks like a complicated problem, it turns out to be pretty simple. The first step is to evaluate the expression at the number we are approaching. This means replacing our variable with the numeric value that it is approaching and simplifying the result. Because this problem does not simplify to zero/zero 0/0, we are done when we simplify and have our limit. This video contains examples that are from Business Calculus, 1st ed, by Calaway, Hoffman, Lippman. from the Open Course Library, remixed from Dale Hoffman's Contemporary Calculus text.
