Finding Wire Locations

J Geiger Shading Systems are intended to conceal all wires. For wired systems, it is important to identify wire locations early to ensure proper coverage (i.e. bracket placement over wire location so that wiring is not visible). This video covers wire location tips for inside/jamb mount brackets and outside/floating mount brackets. Inside jamb mount wire location will typically be 1 1/4" down from ceiling or top of jamb and 1 1/4" out from window. Floating mount wire placement is a little more difficult since the end of the bracket covers less space, but wire placement will always be 5/8" from the top or bottom of the hanger bolt (hager bolt and wire placement can be found using a J Geiger Install Template). For floating mount brackets, pull wire 5/8" above hanger bolt if the wire is coming from the ceiling. Pull wire 5/8" below hanger bolt if wire is coming from the floor.
