Finger Independence Workout
Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Breaking Chords with a fretboard exploring Finger Independence Workout. I've had the premise behind this workout for a long time and first discovered this useful arpeggio-based exercise while a student at AIM, and we were working on different positions/fingerings of Major 7th arpeggios. After running through the material for class, I remember combining positions of the arpeggios, to see how I could move between them, and the idea behind this material was born. FYI - This lesson also relates to 'The Stranger Things Guitar Workout' episode that I created/posted over a year ago on the LNL channel, so if you'd like additional info related to this lesson (or a basic refresher) - feel free to check that video out as well. Aside from introducing finger independence in this lesson with this workout, we're also building better legato technique, increasing your fretboard awareness/navigation, using the Circle Of Fifths, and much more with this concept. So, bring your fingers and your thinking cap - you're going to need them! Give this episode a view, leave some comments/feedback, and please subscribe to Late Night lessons - THANK YOU!
