Finger Weaving
Weaving a strap for a leather bag I plan on making. Finger weaving like this was common among native American artisans. Some of the techniques probably pre date European contact but the fur trade brought better materials to work with. Sashes and straps woven like this would have been common as part of 18th and 19th century native and pioneer equipment. I am always working on building something and try to average a YouTube video once a week. Most often leather work, but I have also posted videos on black smithing, knife making, casting, and even how I make soap. Be sure to Subscribe if you are interested in any of these topics, or just making things in general.
