Finite State Machines - 01 - Introduction

An introduction to the concept of finite state machines. A few examples are given and related to the flip flops that would be necessary to create them in digital circuitry. Hardware description languages are also introduced as a means of implementing FSMs without the headache of thinking about exactly how each flip flop is supposed to behave.
