With a new 1hp servo motor driving a new spindle, direct drive (no more plastic gears), new tapered roller bearings, and every sliding surface scraped flat and parallel, I'm now calling it the "Super Mini-Lathe". Let's see what it can do...
A little disclaimer: I set up a soft limit starting half an inch from the chuck, so you'll see the travel feed speed slow down as the cutter nears the chuck when operating the lathe manually.
