This is an antique benchtop mill. I brought this machine home last weekend and needed a first project. I decided to make a handle for the z-axis that fits in the small space available behind the main removable handle.
I’m thrilled with how well this machine works. This is a Burke #4 base with a Rusnok vertical milling head. I understand these little machines are around, they found their way into research labs. I didn’t make a single adjustment to this mill; cleaned it up, oiled it, and started cutting. I still have some things to work out but this machine is working great right out the gate! I hope you enjoyed this video.
This is the best reference I can find. This looks exactly like my mill.
