My first spar removal on a white pine. SRT on canopy anchor w/ tag line just in case, plus spurs and flipline, plus a rope from another tree for positioning.
I cleared the branches and topped it a few weeks ago, thus the bare spar. This tree is a leaner, so in my first attempt with just SRT + spurs I just wasn't able to get myself on the correct side of the spar against gravity. The extra positioning rope I used this time took care of that.
