The Fish Circuits ECHO LIMITEUR is a hybrid analog/digital delay pedal offering up to 1750ms of rich, textural delay with a switchable limiter circuit on one of its two feedback paths. At its core is a stretched-to-the-brink MN3005 analog chip, pushed just shy of instability to deliver degraded, lo-fi repeats on longer settings. But if you’re after something a little cleaner (though never too clean), the range can be extended for repeats that land somewhere between tape echo, analog delay, and a dying transistor radio.
