Fixing A Leaky Flapper Valve ~ Rick's Tips

Greetings! This week I am sharing with you how I fixed the leaky flapper valve in our main bathroom. This is the bathroom that the kids mainly use. It gets a lot of use. However, like I said in the video, one of the biggest water wasters in your house, aside from your teenage daughters, is your toilet. You must be vigilant to make sure that you are not wasting and a loose flapper valve can be a culprit when it comes to having your money and your water go down the drain. This is a fairly easy fix and can be done by anyone. Make sure to turn off your water first, behind the toilet if you have that capability and then drain the tank by flushing, then it is just a matter of taking off the old valve and putting on a new one which does not really even involve any tools except the best ones you have, your hands! Oh, and a beer (wink)! I hope this gives you the confidence and the know how to make this fix for yourself or even just check to see if your tank has a leak.
