The Shape Tween utilises KeyFrames at start, finish and at change points. You can change shape, colour of fill and stroke as well as position etc. The important thing is to break down the objects for shape tweening, in each keyframe, to their basic components - lines and fills. If you have text, Symbols or groups, you will have to Break Apart at least once (twice for text). To Break Apart go to Modify - Break Apart (Control B)
