In this FlexSim Tutorial – Part 2, we continue building a realistic automatic warehouse model and move from structural setup to advanced operational control. In this session, you’ll see how inbound flows can be generated directly from timestamp-based Excel data, how outbound requests are dynamically created and matched with inventory using SQL queries, and how ASRS logic can be centralized through task lists and scalable resource groups.
Instead of relying on scattered triggers, we implement a clean control architecture based on global lists, priority handling between inbound and outbound, and structured task assignment that mirrors real commercial warehouse projects. This is not a simplified demo but a practical framework that can be extended with double cycles, reshuffling strategies, or distance-based task allocation.
