Flip-Dot Test - Arduino + Custom Controller Board

The Flip-Dot display is a 30 column x 7 row display manufactured by Luminator. Only 15 columns are connected in this video. There is a 50 pin connector on the display. Each column is controlled through one pin, and each row is controlled through two pins. Controller board includes: - 74HC595 shift registers - NPN transistor arrays (ULN2003A) - PNP transistors (BC327) - 1kohm base resistors for the PNP transistors (current limiting resistors) The components are soldered on to protoboard (The controller board is unfinished in this video - two more sections need to be made to control the other half of the Flip-Dot display)
