Floating and Dancing Grapes (Home Made Experiments for Kids) In this video we demonstrate how to make grapes float and roll in water. You need the following items for this experiment: - Three glass cups - Water - Grapes - Vinegar -Baking soda - Carbonated water or soda Fill the first glass cup with soda and the second and the third cups with water. In the third cup, put some baking soda and mix it. Drop four grapes into each of the glass cups. Then pour some vinegar into the third cup and mix it with a spoon. Watch what happens to the grapes. The grapes in the first cup with soda and the third cup with vinegar and baking soda float as the carbon dioxide bubbles stick to the grapes. When carbon dioxide bubbles are attached to the grapes, they displace more water thus more buoyant force on the grapes. Therefore, the grapes float, roll, and dance. We hope you enjoyed this video.
