This video is currently a finalist in the Southern California Drone Film Festival competition for 2025. It consists of one continuous shot of capturing the flight of a hot air balloon over the rolling hills of Kentucky outside of Louisville. Keeping with the theme of the single continuous shot, there are no edits to the footage other than small color corrections, titling, and adding music. That includes no ramping, no stabilization, no splicing. What you do get to see is the drone sweeping around the hot air balloon in flight and then chasing it towards its inevitable landing. There is also a ballooner-eclipse along the route. I had a wonderful time working with the balloon teams during my short Juneteenth weekend there a couple years back. Do enjoy the sights in 4K.
