Flud - Vibrate

Based out of Adelaide, Australia, the Visitors collective are branching out with the launch of their vinyl only label. The inaugural outing is shaped by four artists who bring a distinct energy to the release across this VA: Venda, a pioneer in the game; Jay Tripwire; Ewan Jansen with the first track under his FLUD alias; and Cosmjn. The four cuts meander between pensive minimal and nostalgic golden-era tech house, with tinges of breaks and electro. A summary of the Visitors’ journey so far and the influences they have soaked up throughout the years, now coming to life in a physical format. Kicking things off with underground, hypnotic energy is Venda’s ‘Yellow’, an unforgiving drive combined with tripped-out vocal stabs, teasing you into the smoky hours of the night. Packing a punch is Jay Tripwire’s ‘Thiic Ass’, enormous peak-time sounds with a dynamite groove, crammed with perky percussion and nodding towards the prime years of tech house. Ewan Jansen’s FLUD alias comes through with a live excerpt, futuristic funk fused with modern electro, with a feel-good vibe beaming from the core. Cosmjn closes the EP with a twisted excursion, mysterious synths simmering throughout the ‘Dasbit’ quest. An exciting time for the Visitors brand, as they manoeuvre from events to the vinyl label.
