As part of my recent birding tour with NT Bird Specialists I visited Fogg Dam, a short drive east of Darwin. Here I got to see one of my "bucket list" birds, the Comb-crested Jacana.
These diminutive birds, with their improbably large feet and long legs, none the less have no trouble nimbly gliding across the lily pads in search of food.
