Free Border skate is a female centered, female led sports program for children and young adults living in areas of conflict and civil unrest. We also host local meetups which serve as mini fundraisers for many of our programs abroad...where the goal to create a safe space for everyone, with the focus, centered around getting more POC /black people into park skating. Skateparks have always been a very white male dominated space. So There’s this feeling of pride when you see a group of black women with their natural hair rocking up to a skatepark, killing it - unapologetically taking up space
