Free Pattern Friday - String blocks Square Dance Block

Today, we are going to show you how to make an old favorite of mine called the String Block Square Dance. Password or passcode: Thread The blocks and measurements are as follows: Cut 1 - 6.5 square of printed fabric Cut 4 - 3.2.5 inch squares of low volume fabric Cut 2 string blocks that are 6.5 square in half as shown in the video so they measure 3.25 x 6.5 inches. OR Make 4 string blocks that measure 3.25 x 6.5 inch (your choice) I use a 1.5 inch sashing between each block with a color cornerstone to get a secondary pattern going in my quilt top. Please remember that quilting and piecing is about having fun not feeling pressured! You don't have to follow this pattern perfectly but I do hope iy sparks some creative juice for your next quilting project. There is so many things to look at on a scrappy quilt that other people won't notice any mistakes you make.
